What word is the opposite of “disappointment”. It seems many people often say, “It was great. There was an important lesson on attentiveness which may well prevent greater loss in the future.

I watched a video with Tony Robbins the other day. He talked about a time he accompanied his kids golfing. Apparently the golf coach showed him that a change of just a millimeter or two in the angle with which he was hitting the ball would make a huge difference as to where it ended up. It meant a difference of several meters off target, as it flew over the green and that difference of one millimeter grew while the ball flew through the air. (Read Awaken the Giant Within)

This quote from Robin Sharma makes this point succinctly:

Your days are your life in miniature.” [Tweet this!]

Robin Sharma

(Read The Greatness Guide)

Our emotional state, and the decisions we make which influence that state, have a direct impact on the direction our life takes.

Disappointments:

show us where we are at in life and help us know where or how we can improve.

help us learn to master our emotions and reactions, making us stronger and more resilient in the face of life’s challenges.

drive us to strengthen our creative thinking skills as we learn from them and find new creative solutions.

come from life to show us the way and be our teachers.

Disappointment, defeat, and failure are stepping stones to a rich life. [Tweet this!]

Take pleasure in discovering the good and the benefits disappointment may provide on your pathway to a successful life.

Over to you now…

What would you add to this post?

[reminder]What disappointment have you had to work through recently?
