Yep, sometimes there&#8217;s nothing you can do about it. It&#8217;s natural to have those moments of rest or a\u00a0change in pace.<\/p>\n<p>Just this week I got derailed by a bout of illness. It seems to have be something going around, because some of my friends caught it too. The crazy thing is, in those moments of struggling through the fever and discomfort I still tried to look at my work and see if there was anything I could do. There were a few thing I managed but by and large I was not much good on the progress front.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, I got quite depressed and overwhelmed at one point looking at my <a title=\"Make Your Goals Emotionally Powerful, SMART Goals That Rock [fusion_builder_container hundred_percent=\"yes\" overflow=\"visible\"][fusion_builder_row][fusion_builder_column type=\"1_1\" background_position=\"left top\" background_color=\"\" border_size=\"\" border_color=\"\" border_style=\"solid\" spacing=\"yes\" background_image=\"\" background_repeat=\"no-repeat\" padding=\"\" margin_top=\"0px\" margin_bottom=\"0px\" class=\"\" id=\"\" animation_type=\"\" animation_speed=\"0.3\" animation_direction=\"left\" hide_on_mobile=\"no\" center_content=\"no\" min_height=\"none\"][Inforgraphic]\" href=\"https:\/\/coachingreallyworks.com\/blog\/make-emotionally-strong-smart-goals-rock\/\">plans, goals, and to-dos<\/a>.<!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>In the end I realized I just needed a rest, so I let go of trying to be a superhero or trying fight through. I just took a break.<\/h3>\n<p>There are times you need to push through and you may not be able to stop. In those times were you just can&#8217;t take another step, consider the benefits of stopping.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Don&#8217;t <a title=\"Best Seller\u2019s Cure For My Thought Induced Insomnia. In many cases you may be better off stepping back, then reassessing things and having another go at it once the setback or challenge has passed. Sometimes we choose them and at other times they choose us. Consider the <a rel=\"nofollow\" title=\"Wikipedia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Rest_(music)\">rest in music<\/a>. It&#8217;s those moments of silence that make the notes stand out and create glorious music.<\/li>\n<li>In the case of <a title=\"5 Things Winners Do When Bad Things Happen\" href=\"https:\/\/coachingreallyworks.com\/blog\/5-things-winners-do-when-bad-things-happen\/\">failure or disappointments<\/a> these too are a part of the journey, and life&#8217;s way of giving us feedback.<\/li>\n<li>Learn to pay attention to the things that stop you or slow you down. I&#8217;m not talking about being superstitious or\u00a0trying to give everything some sort of meaning. Simply pay attention and learn through each experience. They are your friends.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Learning to pace yourself is a key to reducing those times were you can&#8217;t go on any longer and are forced to rest.<\/h3>\n<p>Over to you&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>[reminder]What what would you add to this post?
