(Drum roll please&#8230;)I spent a full thirty\u00a0minutes in silence with my eyes closed. (it&#8217;s possible)<\/p>\n<p>Thoughts kept my body\u00a0fluctuating from relaxed to tense and I\u00a0was constantly moving around and adjusting my posture. So how did I MAKE IT WORK? How can you make it work?<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I focused on my breathing and I used the gap technique combined with the <a href=\"https:\/\/coachingreallyworks.com\/blog\/how-to-start-meditating-using-the-release-technique\/\">release technique<\/a>. Thoughts kept taking over but as I noticed what was happening, <strong>I would then RELEASE\u00a0these thoughts and focus on the space between the thoughts, the GAP.<\/strong> (It&#8217;s like watching a train go by and focusing on what is behind the train as you look between the train cars.)<\/p>\n<p>It may have been twenty minutes in, when I suddenly became aware that I was connecting to my PRESENCE\u00a0beyond my mind and my thoughts. As I did that, there was a sudden overwhelming feeling. It was peace, a happiness, and a comfort. It made me cry.<\/p>\n<p>It was almost like that feeling you get when you\u2019ve been away on an exhausting day at work, you get home and the one you love is there, be it your partner, parent, or child, and you <strong>feel the LOVE\u00a0and strength<\/strong> of being with them again.<\/p>\n<p>Putting it more dramatically, it might be like having\u00a0an emergency that is out of your field of expertise\u00a0to handle, when suddenly the RIGHT PEOPLE\u00a0show up and take over. You\u2019re so happy to hand it over to the medical professional, the PR specialist, the crisis management team, your boss, or whoever is in the best position to relieve\u00a0you and bring out the best outcome.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>That connection to our INNER SELF\u00a0is always there but we often forget it.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I was then reminded almost in an audible voice, that I need to keep that connection ACTIVE\u00a0through my THOUGHTS.<\/p>\n<p>I need to <a href=\"https:\/\/coachingreallyworks.com\/blog\/6-steps-you-can-use-to-turn-your-desire-into-reality\/\">take action<\/a>, I need to work and move things forward, but then, as I do there are those thoughts, concerns, and worries which come gnawing at my strength.<\/p>\n<p>Going forward, I will REPLACE\u00a0that concern or negative outcome, which I imagine, with a POSITIVE\u00a0one.<\/p>\n<p>If I cannot see that positive\u00a0option\u00a0clearly, I will then simply\u00a0LET GO\u00a0of those thoughts in order to be ready and have the strength and presence of mind \u00a0to identify the solution clearly when it appears, and to then take the appropriate\u00a0course of ACTION.<\/p>\n<p>Once again, the importance of <strong>DESIRE\u00a0and FOCUS,\u00a0and the key\u00a0role that they play in my ability to reach my goals and succeed, is very CLEAR. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I must simply keep a clear image of the outcome I\u2019m aiming for IN MY MIND and stoke the<a href=\"https:\/\/coachingreallyworks.com\/blog\/6-steps-you-can-use-to-turn-your-desire-into-reality\/\"> fire of desire <\/a>which\u00a0will drive me through the obstacles and give me the strength to achieve\u00a0the best outcome in reaching my goal.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m connected to the Universe, to SOURCE, to Life.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>My mind is becoming highly focused and perfectly calm #affirmation<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I had an amazing experience with meditation today.
