Is it possible to craft a great day even if you wake up on the wrong side of the bed?  Habits and rituals make kicking off a great day more likely. Sometimes it comes down to doing one thing as many achievers have found.

There is no one-size-fits-all solution for everyone or every morning. The infographic above makes that clear. Finding what works for you is the key. Yes! Remember too that your day may start a little differently on different days of the week.

Know your goals and craft your own ritual, to set yourself up for a good day.

This list is working for me right now. Check it out!

  1. Get up as early as possible while allowing for a good night sleep. It is important to get enough sleep in order to make your routine successful.
  2. Read success statements or affirmations out loud. I picked this up from Napoleon Hill. (Read Think and Grow Rich)
  3. Make a warm drink and settle into my favorite chair to read a book for 30 min. The books vary, usually inspirational or informative non-fiction. It’s time to feed my mind and spirit.
  4. Workout for 30-60 min. In my case I enjoy resistance training. I have my equipment at home which removes any excuses for not doing it. This is important! Make sure it’s easy, so you can build the habit.
  5. Listen to music as I hop in the shower and then prepare a hardy breakfast. Having a substantial breakfast early in the morning is important to maintaining a balanced metabolism.
  6. Take 30 min to respond emails and engage in current conversations in my social media circles.
  7. Keep updated by reading on topics online related to my work and industry for 30 min. This way I’m informed and better able to assist others, share, and produce material relative to you, my audience.

After that I’m ready to begin my work for the day. My first stop with be to do some forward-moving, often creative, work on my business.
