9 Ways Being Real in Life is Scary, and What You Can Do About It Today

Feeling the need to be real in our lives, be it in love, at work, with friends, or with your family can be stressful, if we are not used to opening up.

Fear is the biggest thing that stands in the way, specially if we’ve been hurt or had bad experiences after we tried to open up or be real with others in the past.

Have you found yourself thinking some of these thoughts? (more…)

3 Secrets to Giving Your Child a Good Start in Life

Admiring my first little baby girl, as I sat next to wife, I couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed by task ahead. At the time we were worried about a thumb size strawberry birthmark on her cheek and how that might bring her unwanted attention, or hardship. Other kids can be cruel.

Every parent is different in how they feel about their baby and the challenges they will face, but one thing we all have in common is that we all want the best for our kids. We often feel we may be inadequate in caring for them and giving them the best.

Investing Time in You

With you, my reader, as my main focus, my goal here at CRW has always been to provide the content and tools that are most helpful to YOU.

As I’ve interacted with many of you over past couple of years there have been a few themes that have been coming up regularly. Rather than continuing to post a little here and there on these topics, I decided pick one and put together a practical how to course for you.

The course will help you learn to MANAGE the challenging relationships in your life, discover new ways to COMMUNICATE and CLEAR out some of the negative energy you may be facing in some of your interactions with others, and become a more EFFECTIVE and happier COMMUNICATOR.

Making TIME TO WORK on this and get it to as soon as possible is now my PRIORITY. To do this I will be putting a pause to my regular video posts, and begin posting shorter posts every week or even twice a week. (you may have noticed this shift already last week) 🙂

I want to HEAR FROM YOU. Please tell, what is one of the biggest COMMUNICATION challenges you feel is weighing you down and taking the JOY out of your RELATIONSHIPS with family, friends, lovers, children, or even work colleagues?

Come over and let’s talk about it on Facebook. COMMENT on the link below:

4 Things to Remember When Negative Family Members Threaten Your Joy

You can choose your friends but you can’t choose your family. Family can be a strength, a blessing, and a source of support, but what about those times when family seems to be holding you back or bringing you down?

With the exception of dangerous or life threatening situations, you often have to come to terms with the fact that they will be in your life. Howbeit you don’t have to resign yourself to being miserable about it.

17 Signs You Have What It Takes to Be Successful

Success is not a destination. The following definition made me so happy when I first heard it years ago: “Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal.”

It’s being in the process, the journey that qualifies you as successful or not. To many people give up and don’t do anything because it looks to difficult.

What Makes a Good Life and Happy People?

About three hundred years ago, King Frederick II of Germany wanted to know what language a baby would grow up to speak, if they were left to develop on their own and not taught a language.

He assigned 50 babies foster mothers, who were tasked to care for but not hold, touch, or talk to the babies. The experiment failed because all 50 babies died. You can see that another person’s TOUCH is an absolute necessity for a child to LIVE and develop healthily, but we really do need each other a lot more than that, if we are to have a good, happy life.

I don’t want to hurt friends or those I care about, by making emotional conversations more frustrating. This is not always easy to do, when you don’t want to give in on something that is important to you.

With ex-colleagues or even coworkers, I may not feel as determined to keep the peace. The thing is, each of those frustrating encounters which you allow,  build up negativity and weighs you down. It is possible to get your way and be nice about. Let’s look at this together.

12 Obvious Life Areas to Know, If You are Not Experiencing Life Balance

What does it mean to have “Life Balance”? Most likely if you ask any 10 people on the street, you will get 10 different answers.

We need to understand that what our life balance looks like at 25 is not what it will be when we are 55 and will be different that when we are retired. This is due to our priorities changing.

As a professional coach, I encounter folks just like yourself who hire me to help them achieve a goal, overcome a challenge, or to solve something in their lives. The first thing I do with them is to give them a list of questions which basically ask them to get honest with themselves and rate where they are on a simple 1 to 10 scale of where they are in each area of their lives. Coaches call this a “Life Wheel”. (more…)
