About three hundred years ago, King Frederick II of Germany wanted to know what language a baby would grow up to speak, if they were left to develop on their own and not taught a language.

He assigned 50 babies foster mothers, who were tasked to care for but not hold, touch, or talk to the babies. The experiment failed because all 50 babies died. You can see that another person’s TOUCH is an absolute necessity for a child to LIVE and develop healthily, but we really do need each other a lot more than that, if we are to have a good, happy life.

I am really happy and excited to share this with you and I want to give you something very interesting about that very happiness. Okay?

I pretty much consider myself a content person and in some ways, a very confident person and it makes it possible for me not to really feel lonely. I like to be with friends, sometimes I feel like I miss out on some things, I get a little bit of a twinge of that.

Happy Independent People May Not Realize This

I am pretty happy going at things on my own. But I have discovered something recently, there is this great TED video and I have noticed something about my life that while I do feel that way about myself, this key to HAPPINESS they talk about in this video, I was surprised and I kind of looked over my life and I was like, yeah, you know what, the funny thing is, they were right. You’ve got to check it out.

The Bottom Line to a Happy Healthy Life

Okay, I’ll tell you what it is, I’ll tell you really briefly and you’ve got to watch the video for a lot more details. And the bottom line is this, “GOOD relationships keep us HAPPIER and HEALTHIER, period.”

[shareable cite=”Robert Waldinger”]Good relationships keep us happier and healthier, period[/shareable] [offer-box href=”http://sostartover.com” linktext=”Reminder: Have you checked out my book? A Shout Out To You Awesome Friends

It seems like a no-brainer, doesn’t it? But yeah, I had to put that back in my thinking cap and work on it a bit and I’m really happy that that’s been my personal experience and that really is one of the things that makes me happy and why I am a happy person.

Thanks to all of you wonderful FRIENDS and those that I have been close to and loved over the years.

Well here’s your quote for today,

[shareable cite=”Mark Twain”]There isn’t time, so brief is life, for bickering, apologies, heart burnings, callings to account. There is only time for loving in but an instant to speak for that. #quote[/shareable]

And here is your affirmation for today, be sure to post it by your bed, look at it on the morning when you wake up and in the evening when you go to bed and emotionalize it, say it out loud three times and really picture and imagine and feel it:

[shareable cite=”Abe Stone”]I give and receive love freely and fully in all my relationships. #affirmation[/shareable]
