Hi there! I am Abe Stone, the life design coach and this is CoachingReallyWorks.com

Here I am bringing you another short video with powerful input and insight to change your life and to give you breakthroughs that you are looking for in your life.

Today’s video is about the third aspect or the third element of experiencing breakthroughs in our lives. I’ll put a link to the video introducing these three aspects in a link below.

What Does Your Mouth Have To Do With Success?

Have you ever heard the quote “Your day will go in the direction of the corners of your mouth”? The day will go up if the sides of your mouth are up and it will go down if the sides your mouth are down.

Well, a lot of things really are like that.

Let me tell you a little story.

Have You Ever Been Groggy Like This?

I remember a little while ago my son, Alan,  was sitting, doing his homework. He was a bit tired and groggy and I saw him just trying to get through his work and he just wasn’t going anywhere. He couldn’t think. The answers were simple. I tried to help him. But I thought, “No way, he can’t think like this.” He was slouched over. And I said, “Come on. Get up.”

He got up. He walked around. He grabbed a glass of water. We talked a little bit. He got his state back up, he got is emotions up and he sat down to do his work and he was done very quickly.

I had to give him a little help but the point was that it was the state that really changed how he was able to think or how he was able to work.

While he as in that low state, (there is nothing wrong with it) it was keeping him from reaching a clear, simple, and achievable goal he had in front of him.

Now, many times in life, you will find that when you are are looking for a breakthrough, when you need a big change or there is something that you want to accomplish, you will find that your state will be a key factor in determining your ability to engage and get that thing done and to have that breakthrough that you are looking for. Stay Away From Making Decisions This Way

Very often we try to make decisions in state where we are fearful or depressed, or we are discouraged. In that state of mind, we can’t really make the progress that we need, we can see clearly, we cannot identify the areas that are going to work and we can’t really give it our all when we are in those low states.

So, state is a key to really moving forward and having the breakthroughs that you are looking for.

Here are a few tips for changing your state in those moments, when you are making a plan, or working on a project, or sitting down and making a decision. Whatever the case is, before you get into it, take some time to make sure you are in that heightened state, that excited state. Maybe not even excited, if that is not the best word for it but in a state of power and confidence.

So here goes.

6 Tips To Shift Those Emotions Into High Gear

1. Music

Music has a way of moving us. Find music that really inspires you and gets you going, play it for five or ten minutes, get your heart rate up and dance around if you want.

2. Gratitude

You probably have heard this one said a lot but gratitude has a way of working in and rewiring our thoughts in the moment.

Take a piece of paper and list ten things that you are grateful for. Read them out loud. Even if you don’t have a piece of paper just think about three to ten things that you are thankful for, really thankful for, today, right now.

You will begin to feel that feeling welling up inside. You will be so thankful and you will have the power to move forward.

3. Affirmations

Now the third one is the use of affirmations. It is very similar to gratitude. In affirmations we can state in positive, clear, present tense terms what it is, where it is that we want our emotions to be at that moment.

You can use an affirmation as simple as:

[shareable]I think clear thoughts. My mind is clear and I have all the energy I need to accomplish the task at hand.

4. Posture

Change your posture.

If you are sitting down, have your legs crossed, or you’re slouching, whatever the case is, sit up. Take deep breaths. Even if you do not have the time to get up and do anything else just sit a simple shift in your physiology will do wonders to change your state.

5. Exercise

Another that goes along these lines is do some form of exercise for maybe five to ten minutes. Maybe you do not need to go change your clothes or go to the gym, just jump up and down. Run around the block outside the house. Go out in the yard.

If you are at work, just walk briskly up and down the hallway a couple of times and get back to what you need to get done.

6. BONUS: Energy boost tip

The last one is something that I learned my coach training. I do not know everything about it but it has something to do with energy healing.

It using what is called the K27 points. Apparently we have acupuncture points on our body and by being able to access them, we can change our state. These are called K27 points and they are located right under your collar bone, the fleshy part.

If you tap them. Tap them like this and breathe out and say Ha! ha! ha! hahaha!

Just do that a few times and you will feel that it clears your thoughts, it gets the energy flowing through your body again. Even if you do not believe in all of that energy healing stuff it does something for your physiology.

And now I am going to leave you with the affirmation for the week, please read that twice a day, once in the morning and once before you go to bed.
