6 Steps You Can Use to Turn Your Desire into Reality

Did your parents tell you to be content with what you have, when you were growing up? Mine did and I know they meant well. Sometimes people ask, “Why can’t you just be happy with your job?” or career, income, status, etc. That desire in your gut is an often misunderstood and maligned part of the healthy you.

Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s essential to be content with what we have. I strongly believe showing gratitude for all the good in our lives is a must if we are continue receiving. However, it is my belief that, to quell desire on its existence alone is a mistake, if we are to grow, develop, and reach our full potential. (more…)

How Knowing the Work Can Improve Your Leading and Delegating

What regarding delegating is not working out for you? How come people are not following where you are leading them? I find there is something important which often leads up to the final act of successful delegation.

Some people are too big for some jobs and always passing things on to others. Others hold on to work and refuse to let someone else do it, for fear it won’t get done right. (more…)

Feeling Sexy? Fire Up Your Genius

Yep, there’s more to do with that sexy feeling than… well, you know. Great fun and pleasure! And in addition to nurturing your intimate relationship, it can actually transform your work, activate your creativity and yes even impact your bank account. Sounds more like a turn off. I know! But hear me out.

Those days after a great date or an intimate night with our lover or significant other can be some of the best days of our lives. I know I’ve had incredibly productive days in that state. Walking on cloud 9. I don’t need to convince you of that. I’m sure you’ve experienced it for yourself.

This, often misunderstood, aspect of our lives provides us with an invaluable resource. In his landmark book Napoleon Hill made an incredible connection between sexuality and our mental faculties. He said:

The human mind responds to stimuli, through which it may be “keyed up” to high rates of vibration, known as enthusiasm, creative imagination, intense desire, etc.

He listed 10 mental stimulants in his book Think and Grow Rich. At the top of the list, as the most powerful, is sex, followed by others which included, love, music and auto-suggestion, also known as affirmations.

What these things do is, increase the frequency of the vibration of the mind. Viola, you are connected to new thoughts and potential, a genius state if you will, otherwise inaccessible in your ordinary state of mind.

Sex desire is the most powerful of human desires. When driven by this desire,

You Are Not the Problem – Got It?

What happened? Where did you go wrong? What’s got you thinking, “Now that’s a problem”? I know I hate the feeling, when I realize I have a problem. Why is that?

We can get emotionally caught up, trying to figure out what’s wrong with us. I know I do. Self-talk kicks in.

I’m too late.

I can’t do this after all.

I don’t have what it takes.

I’m such a failure.

Something funny started happening to me recently. My thinking has shifted, and I’m slowly starting to feel challenged and excited by problems. This didn’t come overnight. (more…)

The Readings On Your Internal GPS – Align Your Actions with Your Values

The values we hold in side of us are what motivate us to move in a certain direction. Values are also the private rules by which people live their lives. The set of values a person holds to in a certain area of life is like the little motor, so to speak, which propels the boat of a person’s life. When people disconnect from their values or don’t honor them, the boat of their lives simply goes adrift on the sea of existence.

Values are not what we want, but something intrinsic which you absolutely need in your life in order to be true to yourself. – Cherry Claus (more…)

6 Simple Steps For Creating Laser Focus Using Lists

If you’re like me you probably have more things on your to-do list than you can possibly accomplish in a week much less in a day. It can be very frustrating to achieve the level of focus necessary to make consistent progress towards a goal or a dream.

I find that this is something a coach has helped me with a fair bit, over time. However coaching is not always available, so here’s a simple self-coaching tool you can employ for consistently creating focus in your work. It’s from a role model of mine Earl Nightingale and was first attributed to Ivy Lea who was paid $25,000 by Charles Schwab once he tried it out. (more…)

Persist Just Beyond the Point You’d Have Given Up

Sometimes I just wish life would be simpler, but I’ve come to realize, the things that challenge us, help us grow. I laugh when I think of what Bob Proctor said: “If you know what to do to reach your goal, it’s not a big enough goal.” Funny but true!

Trimming the fat around my mid section has been a solid goal of mine for over a year now. It became important to me for several reasons and one of the most important is, I felt it was a reflection of my health not being in tip-top shape. (I wrote a post on this topic.)

I plan to be around as long as possible, to enjoy this gift of a life, and I would say the most emotionally powerful reason for me is that I want to be around for my family and love ones as long as I can.

How a Super Star Tackles Fear in Acting, With a Coach’s Insight

I often prefer not to have to face a problem or difficulty.

Many of us shrink at the first sign of fear in our minds or hearts. We can tend to opt for the flight option in our instinctive fight or flight response. True, it is safer! Besides, what if we fail?

Our flawed thinking is that we can just skip that a failure and move on to a success. In the end the question I like to ask is:

Do I want to stay where I am, or do I want growth and change?
