Persist Just Beyond the Point You’d Have Given Up

Sometimes I just wish life would be simpler, but I’ve come to realize, the things that challenge us, help us grow. I laugh when I think of what Bob Proctor said: “If you know what to do to reach your goal, it’s not a big enough goal.” Funny but true!

Trimming the fat around my mid section has been a solid goal of mine for over a year now. It became important to me for several reasons and one of the most important is, I felt it was a reflection of my health not being in tip-top shape. (I wrote a post on this topic.)

I plan to be around as long as possible, to enjoy this gift of a life, and I would say the most emotionally powerful reason for me is that I want to be around for my family and love ones as long as I can.

A Simple Introduction To How Meditation Works With a Rubik’s Cube

Today I came across this insightful video explaining meditation with a Rubik’s Cube. It got me thinking. So many people find meditation a bit of a challenge to use much less understand. I was one of those people for years. I’ve come to use meditation every day now. Personally I needed someone to explain it to me and help me understand what was happening and how it works. For me that was the Silva Method. I’m a very practical person so the science of it made sense. (more…)

A Key Ingredient for Reaching Your Goals

A young gentleman called me a few weeks ago saying: “Hi Katrin is there a book you would recommend to me about success or anything of that sort?” I thought, “hmm ‘anything of that sort’ sounds rather general”. Even ‘success’ sounds broad and undefined. What is success anyway? I’d suppose success has as many different definitions as there are people, as for each one of us success takes on a different meaning.

What does it take for you to feel successful?

Commonly success is referred to achieving some desired outcome or goal which allows the person to have something in their life which they value, such as more money, or position, a dream relationship, or the body shape that makes them feel attractive, or something else. Immediately they focus on figuring out what they need to DO in order to HAVE what they want. Yet a few weeks down the line, in spite of working hard to do what others advise them to, you might see them back at square one, despondently claiming “nothing works”.

Realizing Your Dream!

The power of goal setting cannot be underestimated. It’s been working wonders in my life. I came across a wonderful story that illustrates the principles and gives us a taste of what is possible. It’s from Bob Proctors eBook You Were Born Rich. Enjoy!

Patti’s Cruise

Patti Moir first came to my seminar, with her parents, when she was only eleven years old. By the age of fifteen she was already speaking in the seminars and sharing with the audience the manner in which a concept in the seminar had moved her from failing miserably in French-at school-to honor’s grades (and in a relatively short period of time, to boot!) A True Story About the Power of Visualization | It Really Works

[guestpost]I want to share a wonderful story today from an old friend of mine, Taylor Stevens, which really inspired me. She’s a mother and an author and she is living a dream she had a long time back. What made this possible? Read the story of her experience and find out. The more we are aware of the wonderful way out minds work the more we are able to us them and lead the lives of our design and choosing. Be inspired![/guestpost]

“At the time, at home with the kids (it made no economical sense to enter the workforce when daycare for two babies would be more than any paycheck I would bring in) I worked odd jobs from home to help supplement the income, and we lived very frugally in a two-bedroom apartment, drove old and used cars, skipped on things like cable, eating out and such, but on one modest income we struggled to pay even the bills we did have.” (more…)
