If the pain of spending time in a dead end career or a harmful relationship isn’t bad enough, at what point will you be willing to start over, and do something new? I don’t think it’s usually easy saying, “Oops, I guess that’s that. I’ve gotta start over.”

Could Your Self-Talk Be Literally Killing You or Your Dreams

As an English teacher, working around children tends to put me in contact with all of their little germs. I had to put in some extra time teaching and all I could think about was not getting sick and fearing that I would, and the negative self-talk started.

Sure enough, I feared a fear and it came upon me, and I was pretty messed up. But then I remembered my secret weapon, yep positive self-talk. We have so much control and power through the mind. — A little extra garlic and vitamin treatment sure helped, too.

Not Feeling Ready? Stop Wishing. Start Living Your Dream

The first time you successfully rode a bike the limits of your world changed. Until you learned, it was not safe to try. For many of us it was a parent or a close friend to who pushed us over the threshold of fear and insecurity.

Oddly enough, regardless of experiencing success like that, the next change or growth point is rarely all that much easier. You may need help, but do your best to accept it as the opportunity arises.
